My Mom called me up today to tell me that she wants to renovate her kitchen. She said that, after a lot of thought, she has decided to go the custom cabinet route and thus got in touch with someone who specializes in making custom cabinets from scratch. Actually, the problem was that her old cabinets were very high up, and Mom could not reach them as she is not very tall. She used to have to stand up on a stool and, even then, had difficulty reaching the top shelf. I was concerned about her standing on a stool, as I felt that she might fall one of these days, so I was the one who suggested she change her cabinets and get some which are of a shorter height from the ground.
