I got a call from my beloved Mom sometime back. I was planning to call her myself but had just not gotten the time to do so. One of my favorite chanels is available on both satellite television and regular broadcast cable tv. It is none other than PBS or the Public Broadcasting System. PBS has been around for a very long time and it was when I was a kid that I gained my affection for the station. It was on PBS that Sesame Street and The Electric Company was aired on and I can recall many a morning and afternoon watching PBS and those kid friendly shows.

While PBS still airs kid friendly shows such as Seasame Street, it is their documentary and informational programs that I still love watching it. Shows such as Nova, Antiques Roadshow, and Austin City Limits make PBS the popular broadcast station that it is. Austin City Limits brings in the best rock stars going today and places them in an upclose setting. Any artist will tell you that they love playing the stage at Austin City Limits. Anitques Roadshow criss-crossess the country and with appraisers, examine collectables for people. It is neat to see what things come on there and their exact worth.

PBS is one my favorite channels because it offers programs for all members of the family and all the programs are good to watch.

I have been planning a vacation for the longest time, but have not been able to go due to my financial woes. I am just not able to afford it.
