I have always been fond of teaching clay. In fact, this has been my hobby since I was younger and i used to teach clay to others. Since I was also a bit of a perfectionist regarding quality, I used to purchase only AMACO/Brent products for my requirements of clay and clay products like glazes. This is because they are known for their quality products, such as their clay potter wheel, throwing wheels, wheel replacement parts and clay supplies. I like their Brent ie wheel, because it can now be used as a floor model as well as as a tabletop model. And as part of Brent’s new Green Series, the ie tabletop is made of 100% recycled materials. When working with a clay potter wheel, centering the clay is one of the most important steps because if your clay is not centered when you begin to pull up the piece, it will be off balance, and you will fight the clay the whole time. When centering clay it is important to use your whole body. I am also a fan of their high fire glazes, and often use the Sahara High Fire Glazes, as they produce interesting effects when fired in reduction as well as in oxidation and are compounded to match porcelain and stoneware bodies.
I like ceremics and stoneware. Do you have pictures of ceremics that you made? Maybe you can share.
