One of my friends, who is an investment consultant, advised me to buy gold bars to shield myself against the monetary fluctuations that are characteristic of other financial instruments. I totally agree with his advice, because buying gold has been recognized since time immemorial as one of the best ways to preserve one’s wealth and purchasing power. Gold bars are a very safe and risk-free investment. Even the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans had an affinity for gold. In today’s financial scenario, the beauty of a gold bar lies in its proven ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power.

Today I was looking at the finance section in the newspaper and read an article about the fact that the price of gold has skyrocketed. This is really good news for me because I have some gold bullion as well as gold jewelry that I have been wanting to sell, but had just not thought proper to sell at the low prices that were prevailing previously. I am really glad I had the intelligence to buy gold bullion at the right time and  did not sell when prices were low, as I would not have been able to make much of a profit back then. Now I can make a much better profit, and plan to sell my gold items now itself, before the prices fall once again.
